admission requirements |
- USF Admission requirements can be found on the USF Registrar’s website. All requirements for admission must be fulfilled by students who wish to obtain academic credential. Admission and performance requirements are the same for all on and off campus students.
|
| advising |
- The College of Engineering awards academic degrees for completing planned, pre-approved programs consisting of a pre-determined number of credit hours. Departments may have individual requirements for admission. Students must talk to the department or program graduate advisor, comply with admission requirements, and develop an approved program of studies. A listing of contact information for COE departments can be found here. The Graduate Admissions page provides detailed information on enrollment requirements.
|
| graduation |
- All students must apply for graduation by the deadlines given in the Academic Calendar. Please note that the College of Engineering may require earlier graduation deadlines than the University.
- Applications should be sent to the College of Engineering Advising at:
University of South Florida College of Engineering Advising Office
4202 E Fowler Ave, ENB 118 Tampa, FL 33620
Phone: [813] 974.2684

| prerequisites |
- Departments publish prerequisites for course registration as well as additional important information within OASIS.
- If a student receives a pre-requisite hold while trying to register for a course on OASIS which they would like to contest, he or she should contact the Department. An advisor or other Department personnel may override the pre-requisite requirement in some cases. Click here for a directory of COE Departments.
|
| registration schedule |
- Students can register for apex offerings through their OASIS accounts just as they do traditional on-campus courses. Once they have registered through OASIS, they will need to also add the course to their MyCOE account in order to view their course files and webcasts.
- Students may register for a course at any time before the “last day for registration” listed in the Academic Calendar.
- After the last day of registration students may register for additional classes during drop/add week without financial penalty provided they were registered for at least one course at USF prior to the first day of class.
- Students may drop any and all classes during drop/add week without financial penalty.
- A student wishing to add a course after the first week of classes should contact their department and petition to add the course late. Students may incur a financial penalty by adding a course late.
- Please note that apex course offerings have a distance learning fee which is automatically attached to the student’s tuition. Click here for additional tuition information.
|
| registration forms |
- After registering for their course within OASIS, returning apex students need only log into their MyCOE account in order to add the appropriate coures electronically. All student information should be updated through the MyCOE account as necessary.
- Active new USF students with no holds applied to their account should register for courses via OASIS. Next they will need to visit the apex website, create a MyCOE profile, and follow the registration instructions within . New apex students will also be required to designate an appropriate proctor. The proctor will have to meet all requirements according to apex policies. Additional information on proctoring policies is available here.
- Students new to USF may require additional clearances, and should begin the registration process as early as possible to be certain all conditions of enrollment have been met prior to the beginning of the semester. New student forms are located here. It is important for new students to contact their department to review academic requirements and degree plans.
- It is important to list contact information accurately on all apex electronic forms. If there are questions concerning the student's electronic submissions, the apex office must be able to contact the student via the contact information they have supplied within their MyCOE account for clarification.
- The registration process should be started as early as possible. If there are holds on the student’s account- be they academic or financial- students should anticipate needing additional time to clear these holds with the appropriate university departments.

- In order to obtain a NetID the student must be enrolled at USF either as a non-degree seeking or degree seeking student and must be registered for at least one class.
- Obtain a USF ID card by following the instructions here. Note that there is now an application available that is specifically designed for distance learning students here.
- NetIDs are activated by simply visiting https://una.acomp.usf.edu.
